The Washington Vaccine Association enables the state to universally purchase childhood vaccines. The WVA collects funds from health insurers and TPAs (payers) and remits them to the state to cover the cost of vaccines for privately insured children. As a result, Washington is able to purchase vaccines for all children at volume rates and deliver them to providers at no cost.
The WVA is a non-profit organization which was created by state statute. WVA has hired Helms & Company, Inc. as its Administrator to collect assessments and remit them to the State of Washington. The Support Staff Members provide operations support.
